I can't find the time to meditate, what can I do?
This is probably the most common perceived challenge we all face today. May we grow to understand that making space for this time to practice meditation is an incredible gift we give ourselves. No one else can give us this gift.
Here are a couple suggestions:
Try: Just like you schedule appointments with others in your calendar, you can schedule a date with yourself for 5,15, or 30 minutes to practice meditation. When you do so, set up a reminder and make sure your reminder system is configured to pop up a reminder when time falls due. Put a date in your calendar right now and try and set a reminder.
Try: Though we believe taking 30 minutes a day for formal meditation is optimal for your health and well-being, just a few minutes of mindfulness a day can be supportive when working with stress and anxiety. You can practice anytime while you're sitting ,standing, walking, or lying. Take a few moments right now and just notice your breath coming in and out of your body.
Try: Connecting to a wider community of people that you can keep in touch with on a regular basis. The community aspect of keeping up practice is so critical. Start a new thread in the General Discussion Forum, or get the Aliveguide Mindfulness, Anxiety, and Stress, where people are already connecting around a program of this material on a consistent basis.
