it's interesting that recently I stopped an argument I was having with my sister by thinking "This must be making her feel as awfl as it is making me feel" At that moment I no longer felt the need to "prove my point" but to compassionately look at the situation and see that it was getting us nowhere but farther away from our truths. I get really excited when i see growth taking place within me!!!

I would like a copy of the Rumi poem. can you post it or e-mail it to me.

Thank you!

Here it is:)

This being human is a guest-house.

Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,

some momentary awareness comes

as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,

Who violently sweep your house

empty of its furniture.

still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you

out for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,

meet them at the door laughing,

and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,

because each has been sent

as a guide from beyond.

Rumi, ?The Guest House?
