Thank you Elisha

I find it strange to feel stress when there is a part of my being that knows I can choose to be with the breath, with being, free of stress and yet, the brain runs rampant and acts as director of the day.

I am grateful for the community that Aliveworld offers, allowing me to 'find my place in the family' of life.

A desire I have is to bless all things. As I write this, and see the word 'desire', I wonder if that in itself is a stress -- attempting to change thoughts about situations that may not be easy to bless, rather than allowing situations to be what they are. As a social being, being human, what does one 'do' with the sad or difficult situations around us? Loving kindness meditation sometimes seems 'inactive', or that perhaps there is more I can attend to. And so I do desire to bless all things, seeing that perhaps if all beings knew love, care, compassion, those situations that I find difficult to know of or view, have opportunity to change.

thank you

Dear Linda,

I am touched with your heart.  May all beings be blessed.  There is so much suffering in this world.  I feel that love is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.  May we never underestimate the powers of love.  Love and wisdom helps us to come into terms with the way things are.

I do feel that love is, as you say, most powerful. And yes, to constantly remind self of this. Perhaps in the oneness of awareness, there are moments when the suffering is shared and felt to be so huge, and coming to terms is difficult.

Later yesterday I pondered the breath and the metaphor it is with suffering and perhaps all life. I considered that it does not serve to hold the breath; we must let 'it' go, and then to savor that place that initiates the next breath, ever new, and life fills us again and again.

I see how this links with your words of the powerful force of love -- that it may not be to hold onto the suffering and difficult 'way things are', but to breathe along with them.

Thank you for responding. I am grateful for you sharing your wisdom.

Linda
